Statutory Objectives

Financial Assistance for Income-Generating Activities

Provide concessional loans to Scheduled Tribe persons for agriculture, horticulture, small industry, transport, medical, and engineering businesses to promote self-employment and sustainable livelihoods.

Improve Economic Status through Skill & Management Support

Develop and strengthen production techniques, management capabilities, and marketing skills of tribal beneficiaries to enhance economic productivity and competitiveness.

Technical Assistance for Capital Loans

Provide technical guidance and handholding support to beneficiaries availing capital loans, ensuring effective utilisation of funds and viability of income-generating activities.

Women Empowerment

Implement special loan schemes and dedicated financial support programmes targeting tribal women to promote gender equity, financial independence, and entrepreneurship.

Skill Development and Entrepreneurship for Tribal Youth

Facilitate skill development training, vocational education, and entrepreneurship programmes for tribal youth to enhance employability and create new enterprise opportunities.

Channelising Agency for NSTFDC Funds

Act as the official channelising agency in Maharashtra for the National Scheduled Tribes Finance and Development Corporation (NSTFDC), Ministry of Tribal Affairs, ensuring effective disbursement of concessional credit to eligible ST beneficiaries.

NSTFDC — National Channelising Partner

The National Scheduled Tribes Finance and Development Corporation (NSTFDC) is a Central Government undertaking under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India. It provides term loan funds at subsidised interest rates to State Channelising Agencies (SCAs) for on-lending to eligible ST beneficiaries.

SAVVM is the designated SCA for Maharashtra. Under this arrangement, NSTFDC sanctions term loans which SAVVM disburses to individual tribal beneficiaries at concessional interest rates — typically 6% per annum for men and 5% per annum for women — for projects up to ₹30 lakh per beneficiary.

Legal Mandate: Shabari Adivasi Vitta Va Vikas Mahamandal operates under the Companies Act and is regulated by the Tribal Development Department, Government of Maharashtra. Its activities are governed by the NSTFDC guidelines issued by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India.
